We are delighted to have been commissioned by Bubble &Squeak to re-design and manufacture the highly prized ‘Conch’ award for the 5th Annual UK Screen Sounds Awards.

Created in record time, the new awards were presented at a glittering award ceremony held at Floridita in London’s Wardour Street.

Following the event, Sara Brady from Bubble & Squeak commented:

"Once again given an impossibly short lead time, Berry Place delivered us with our small and beautifully formed Conch Shell Awards in time for our event.  Our clients were delighted and the winners even more so!"

MRI-Live!

Cambridge Research Systems is a UK technology company that designs and develops tools to enable the advancement of vision science throughout the world. Their latest and most advanced product is MRI-Live! a stereo display and eye-tracking system for individuals who are researching activity in the brain using an MRI scanner.

CRS were looking for a solution whereby they could show their customers not only MRI-Live! but also the environment in which it would be operating – transporting an MRI Scanner was clearly not an option!

In 2007 CRS approached Berry Place to produce a representative model of MRI-Live! within an MRI Scanner. In the 3 years since then, the model has travelled around the world (Australia, USA, Japan, Europe) to scientific conferences and trade shows where it has become an essential tool for explaining the concept of MRI-Live!

Recently refurbished and updated with the latest modifications to the design, the model has been returned to CRS where it continues to function as an integral part of their marketing material.

Berry Place 20th Birthday

2010 sees Berry Place celebrating 20 Years of creative model-making and prototyping and offers us the opportunity to reflect on past successes and  look forward to an exciting future…

The world was a very different place when Berry Place Models opened its doors for business on the 10th May 1990.
Margaret Thatcher was nearing the end of her third term as the British prime-
Minister, Tim Berners-Lee and Robert Cailliau were launching a ‘hypertext’ system which formed the basis of the global internet, and Motorola’s latest portable cell-phone was the size of a brick.!

In the two decades since then, the team at Berry Place have successfully completed in excess of three thousand projects. From Flying Roosters to Formula One trophies we’ve made it all, including the kitchen sink!
Remarkable advances in materials and manufacturing technologies have fundamentally changed the industry and have continually challenged us to adapt and develop our methods and business model. Today, the result of this evolution allows us to offer solutions to our clients which would have been unimaginable just a few years ago.

The one constant during all of this has been the need to meet the ever- present deadlines. However, on this one occasion we’ll slip off early and raise a glass or two in celebration and look forward to the next three thousand projects…!

On behalf of Value Partners, Interstate designed and developed a brand identity and website for a charity 6-a-side football tournament, Play F.C. (Play For Charity) to raise awareness and secure donations for the One to One Children’s Fund.

The winners of the event were presented with their team trophies and individual winners medals by the Internationally respected referee, Pierluigi Collina.

Berry Place have recently completed several in-house projects for Comic Relief, including fifty sets of comedy acrylic spectacles and three presentation display cases, which exhibit the complete collection of red noses produced for Comic Relief over the years. Sony Ericsson Aino campaign props

Sony Ericsson launched the ‘Aino’ mobile phone last year, a high-end slider handset sporting a 3-inch touch screen and an impressive array of multimedia features. Designed for those who want entertainment on the go, made possible by the phones unique ability to control and access content such as music, photos and movies wirelessly from a Playstation 3 console.

This remote play function is perhaps the unit’s main selling point, and as such was the topic of the promotional material produced for its release. Bringing your entertainment to you rather than waiting to get home.

Iris London’s visual marketing concept was derived from the phones menu icons, brought to life by Berry Place by the way of large coloured acrylic shapes illuminated from within to create a glowing effect.
