Retail Displays for Premium Champagne Brands

Over the past few months we've had the pleasure of working with some of the world's most prestigious champagne brands, including Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon and Krug, on behalf of Chic Agency London, who were in charge of art direction and creative concepts.

Drawing upon design, production and installation skills, Berry Place was tasked with creating a range of high-impact Point-of-Sale displays, many of which included lighting effects and screens displaying embedded video. The most innovative display commissioned was for Majestic Wine and involved a video projected onto the window display.

In addition to premium packaging design & development, bespoke Point-of-Sale and Visual Merchandising is core to Berry Place and our new additional studio space (information coming soon) will allow us to undertake more of the larger projects.

The displays can be seen up until Christmas in Harrods, Selfridges, Majestic Wine (Mayfair, St John’s Wood), Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason. Let us know what you think on Twitter (@berry_place) and see many more images on Pinterest

HUNTSMAN ALTIRIS® pigment - Demonstration Units

Working in conjunction with Uffindell, Berry Place was tasked with the design, development and manufacture of a presentation display unit to help promote Huntsman's ALTIRIS® pigment - a new infrared reflecting pigment, produced by global manufacturer of differentiated chemicals, HUNTSMAN. The pigment, when used in coating products for example, can help to increase energy efficiency by better reflecting solar energy, so structures coated in products containing ALTIRIS® pigment stay cooler for longer, which can reduce the need for air conditioning and lower related greenhouse gas emissions.

Drawing on Berry Place's conceptual design skills and materials expertise, the demonstration unit was used to affirm the infrared resistance of ALTIRIS® pigment when used in colored coatings. The bespoke units, of which approximately 20 have been made so far, are designed to accommodate paint samples, heat lamps, a timer and a digital thermometer. After shining the heat lamps on the paint samples, the surface thermometer is used to demonstrate that the temperature of the reflective paint sample containing Huntsman's ALTIRIS pigment is lower than a standard coating, proving that the coating works effectively against infrared light - reflecting rather than absorbing.

Fragrance display for Clarins at Selfridges

Working in conjunction with Design 4 Retail on behalf of luxury cosmetics brand Clarins UK, Berry Place created multiple large scale droplets for an innovative and exciting installation in London's Selfridges, to promote new fragrance Alien Absolue by Thierry Mugler.

Solid cast acrylic drops in various sizes were displayed to appear to be falling before a spray finished curtain backdrop, the entire installation expertly coloured to match the fragrance. The centre-piece of the display was the one-off CNC-machined solid droplet constructed from a solid 60 kilogram cast billet of clear acrylic!

Bowers & Wilkins – Concert for One.

To promote the release of their new luxury P3 headphones, British audio pioneers Bowers & Wilkins commissioned Berry Place to create 720 bespoke gift boxes, to be presented to influential artists and celebrities from around the world, with the objective of expanding brand awareness.

Each unique black acrylic case was personalised with the recipient’s name engraved alongside the words 'Concert for one'. Chesterfield Borough Council (The Yards) Visitor Attraction

Berry Place was approached by workingpArts and Chesterfield Borough Council to design and make a series of gloves for a unique standout installation at The Yards shopping area to support the Chesterfield Cultural Renaissance Project. Appearing out of the walls, gloved hand sculptures holding various objects serve to reflect the range of businesses in the area, acting as a unique hybrid between artwork and experiential signage.

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Chesterfield Borough Council, the project was set up to promote local businesses and attract more visitors.

Councillor Nick Stringer, Executive Member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism at Chesterfield Borough Council said: “It’s important for town centres to deliver something creative to keep them dynamic and lively and art is something that brings a new dimension to public spaces. This latest project is just one of many improvements to The Yards area which we hope will continue to thrive and attract new visitors and shoppers.”

Some of the gloves were cast in polyurethane resin with a gold paint finish, others were clear cast with acrylic enclosures and the fruit and vegetables were sculpted and hand-finished. Particularly impressive are the tea and coffee pots which are encapsulated in approxiately 20 kilos of clear cast acrylic.
